Junior School Head of Learning Support

We seek a suitably qualified Junior School Head of Learning Support who will be able to promote an inclusive educational environment through leading and managing the learning support team. The successful applicant for this position will be a self-motivated people person; highly organised with an eye for detail and willing to enthusiastically support the school’s Christian mission and be involved in the wider life of the School. This is a full time, ongoing position commencing Term 1 2020. This role will include a teaching load.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in special education preferred
  • Experience working with students with additional learning support needs
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Disability Standards for Education and NCCD
  • Experience developing and overseeing individual plans for Learning Support students
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Ability to lead and manage learning support teachers and educational assistants

    ICT Manager

    We seek to appoint a suitably qualified person to this exciting role, commencing in January 2020.This hands-on management role heads a team of 4 technicians/administrators, and works with the School Executive with a direct report to the Head of Operations. You would be responsible for administering and managing ICT at Oxford Falls Grammar School.

    Main Responsibilties

    -Leading the ICT team
    -ICT strategy and planning
    -Operational Management
    -Liaise and manage the school’s relationship with contractors and consultants for both project work and on-going support of school systems

    Essential Requirements

    -Experience in managing a team
    -Experience with windows-based and UNIX-based operating systems
    -Strong customer service orientation
    -Ability to think strategically
    -Ability to write proposals and appropriate policy documents
    -Strong planning and organisational skills
    -Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
    -Ability to manage multiple projects and work with various stakeholders

    The successful applicant for these positions will be a self-motivated people person; highly organised and willing to enthusiastically support the school’s Christian mission and be involved in the wider life of the School. Prior experience in schools would be preferred.

    Remuneration will be by negotiation, commensurate with the skills, abilities and experience of the successful applicant.
